What is: inventor Richard Haberkern built Soundlazer, a parametric speaker which adopts ultrasonic carrier waves to transmit directional sound, as a laser beam in a small area.
Amazing idea: the project was presented on Kickstarter, to gather fundings in order to release all the design files and programming information as open source on the Soundlazer website.
